Prayer for Comfort and Peace

Father in heaven, I ask that You would show Your care to my loved ones. Help then to give You their worries and cares (See 1 Peter 5:7)

Lord, please don’t let my loved ones fall. Show them that You will take care of them so they will be prompted to give all of their burdens to You. (See Psalm 55:22)

Father God, You know the health needs of my family. Care for them in their disability as would a nurse; restore health to them. (See Psalm 41:3)

Prayers for Hope

Lord, give my loved ones a future and a hope. Plan good for them and not disaster. (See Jeremiah 29:11-13)

God, keep Your promises to my family members. Give them hope they can tightly hold on to. (See Hebrews 10:23)

Lord God, be kind to my loved ones. Make their suffering be only for a short while, and restore and strengthen them. Support them and place them on a firm foundation. (see 1 Peter 5:10)

Prayer for Wisdom and Direction

Lord, please give my loved ones knowledge of Your will. Increase their spiritual wisdom and understanding. May they continue to grow as they learn to know You better. (See Colossians 1:9-12)

Lord, enable my family members to trust in You with all their hearts and not to depend on their own understanding. Show them which path to take. (See Proverbs 3:5-6)

Father God, as You lead my loved ones down a new path, guide them along this unfamiliar way. Brighten the darkness before them and smooth out the road ahead of them. Do not forsake them. (See Isaiah 42:16)

Prayers for Unsaved Family

God, be their refuge and strength. Show them that You are always ready to help them in times of trouble. (See Psalm 46:1)

Father God, please answer them before they even call to you. Before they know to pray to You, while they are still talking about their needs, please won’t You go ahead and answer their prayers. (See Isaiah 65:24)

Lord, please show them that Your name is a strong fortress. May they run to You and find safety. (See Proverbs 18:10)

Prayers for Provision

Father God, carry my loved ones in Your arms like a shepherd carries a lamb. Lead them gently as they are absorbed in caring for their young children. Nourish them Physically, spiritually, and emotionally. (See Isaiah 40:11)

Lord, give new strength to my loved ones. Let them not grow weary in what You have given them to do. Let them soar on wings like eagles. (See Isaiah 40:30-31)

Lord, don’t let my loved ones go hungry. Give them every good thing as they trust in You. (See Psalm 34:10)

Prayers for Protection

Lord, be a shelter for my loved ones as they are being oppressed by bureaucratic medical systems, unjust social expectations, and ungodly religious rules. Be their in times of trouble. Do not abandon them. (See Psalm 9:9-10)

God, don’t allow the temptations my loved ones face to be more than they can stand. Show them a way out. Be faithful to them. (See 1 Corinthians 10:13)

Almighty God, give my loved ones rest. Be their refuge and place of safety. Protect them from diseases and disasters. Rescue them and be with them in trouble. Give them Your salvation. (See Psalm 91)

Prayers for Courage

Lord, let my loved ones be confident that they will see Your goodness in the midst of the hardships of life. (See Psalm 27:13)

Father God, may you give my family members confident hope so they will have reason to rejoice. Help them to remember to keep seeking You, and give them patience in the midst of their trouble. (See Romans 12:12)

Lord God, go ahead of my loved ones. Do not abandon them or fail them. Be near them so that they will not be afraid or panic. Be their Source of strength and courage. (See Deuteronomy 31:6)
